Bring one statement and we will do the math
The counter, the website and the job site
One merchant account, one deposit and one statement no matter how many places the money arrives from.
One page of pricing, not eleven
Flat rates with the per-item fee stated up front, no tiered downgrade categories and no annual increase buried in an addendum.
Businesses processing more than $250,000 a year may request interchange-plus pricing instead of flat rate. A Summit business checking account is required for next-business-day funding. Rates current as of July 2026 and subject to change. Membership eligibility required. This is a demonstration website; rates, products, and figures shown are illustrative only.
Month to month, because a good deal should hold up
There is no three-year term, no early termination fee and no equipment buyout if you bought your terminal. Leave with 30 days notice whenever you like. We would rather earn the account every month than trap a member in a contract, and if a competitor genuinely beats us on your volume we will tell you so out loud.
Switching takes about a week
The hardest part is finding last month's statement. Send it over and we calculate your true effective rate, which is total fees divided by total volume and almost never the number on the front of the proposal you signed. You get a side by side comparison in two business days with a dollar figure attached, including the months where your old processor's tiered pricing quietly downgraded rewards cards into a higher bucket.
Underwriting for most small merchants runs one to three business days. Terminals arrive configured for your business, and for online sales we work directly with whoever maintains your site to point the checkout at the new gateway. Run both systems side by side for a few days if that helps you sleep. Once you batch out by 9:00 pm the deposit lands in your Summit business checking the next business day, and questions go to your named rep at 800.555.7846 rather than a call center queue.
Funding, surcharges and PCI
What does next business day funding actually mean?
Batch your terminal before 9:00 pm on a business day and the funds settle into your Summit business checking the following business day. Batch on Friday night and the money is there Monday. Federal holidays push it out by one day.
Can I add a surcharge to card payments?
In most states you may pass along a compliant surcharge on credit cards, never on debit. There are signage and receipt requirements, and a few states prohibit it entirely. We will either set it up correctly or tell you plainly that it is not allowed where you operate.
What is the PCI paperwork everyone warns me about?
An annual self-assessment questionnaire describing how you handle card data. With help from your merchant rep it takes about 20 minutes, and we do not charge a non-compliance fee while you work through it.
Do I have to move my checking account to Summit?
For next business day funding, yes: the deposit lands in a Summit business checking account. We can settle into an outside bank instead, but funding takes two to three days and the monthly account fee is not waived.
My volume is seasonal. Is that a problem?
No. There is no monthly minimum to hit, so a quiet January costs you the $10 account fee and nothing else. Tell underwriting about your peak season up front and we set the deposit limits high enough that a big Saturday does not trigger a hold.
What happens if a terminal dies on a Saturday?
Call the support line and a replacement ships the same day for next-morning delivery. In the meantime you can take payments on the mobile reader or key sales into the virtual terminal from any browser, so the register never stops.
