Summit CREDIT UNION
Two people shaking hands across a branch desk

Branch and ATM Locator

Forty-two Summit branches, 85,000 surcharge-free ATMs, and 5,600 shared branches nationwide.

Shared branching means another credit union's teller is yours too

Credit unions cooperate rather than compete for footprint, so a teller at any of 5,600 participating branches can take a deposit, hand you a withdrawal, move money between your Summit accounts, or accept a loan payment. Give them your member number and a government photo ID and the transaction posts to your account the same business day. What they cannot do is open a new account, issue a debit card, or change your address; those still come through Summit directly.

Services by location

Call ahead if your errand depends on one of these, since staffing varies by day.

Safe deposit boxes Fourteen branches hold vaults, including Summit Center, Northgate, and Lakeside. Sizes run from 3x5 to 10x10 inches. Busier sites keep a short waiting list, so ask to be added before you need one.
Notary and medallion signature Free notary service for members at every staffed branch during lobby hours. Medallion signature guarantees for securities transfers are available at nine locations by appointment only.
Instant debit card printing Twenty-two branches print and activate a replacement card while you wait, usually in under ten minutes. Elsewhere a card is mailed and arrives in five to seven business days.
Mortgage and lending officers A licensed mortgage loan originator sits at Summit Center, Northgate, Westfield Crossing, and Lakeside daily, and rotates through the other offices weekly. See purchase mortgage before you visit.
Coin counting and cash services Free coin counting for members at seventeen branches. Business members needing change orders or night-drop bags should coordinate with business banking at least a day ahead.
Community rooms Eleven branches have meeting rooms that any local nonprofit can reserve at no cost. We also use them for the free budgeting and homebuying classes listed under financial education.
Common questions

Visiting us in person

Do I need an appointment?

Not for teller work. Book one for anything that needs a desk: opening an account, signing loan documents, notary, or a safe deposit box. Slots are usually open within two business days at book an appointment.

How do I know an ATM is surcharge-free?

Look for the CO-OP mark on the machine or filter for network ATMs before you leave the house. If a network machine still offers to charge you, cancel the transaction and let us know which location it was.

Are you open on federal holidays?

No. Lobbies and drive-ups close on all ten federal holidays and we close at 1pm on Christmas Eve. Digital banking, the ATM network, and the 24-hour card line at 800.555.7846 stay available throughout.

Can I get cash without my card?

Yes, at any Summit teller window with a photo ID. Newer ATMs also support cardless withdrawal through the mobile app using a one-time code that expires after ten minutes.

What are the ATM withdrawal limits?

$800 per day at network machines on a standard debit card, and $1,500 in combined point-of-sale purchases. Members can raise either limit temporarily by calling ahead of a large purchase or a trip.

Is there parking and step-free access?

Every branch has accessible parking, a level or ramped entrance, and at least one lowered teller counter. Fort Landing is drive-up only. Accessibility details and how to request accommodations are on the accessibility page.

Come see us, or skip the trip

Mobile deposit and a shared branch network mean most members visit a lobby twice a year. Either way you are dealing with the co-op you own.
