Calculators

Six free tools that answer the questions members actually ask at the branch counter.

The tools

Six calculators, six specific questions

Each one takes under two minutes and shows the math it used.

Auto payment Enter the price, your trade-in, your down payment and a term. It returns the payment at our current 5.24% APR on new autos, the total interest across the loan, and how the number changes if you shorten the term by a year.
Mortgage payment Principal and interest at 6.375% APR on a 30-year fixed, plus estimated property tax, homeowners insurance and any mortgage insurance. It shows the full escrowed payment rather than the flattering half of it.
Savings growth Set a starting balance and a monthly deposit and watch it compound at 4.15% APY. Useful for sizing a three-month emergency fund or working backward from a down payment target and a date.
Loan payoff Enter your balance, rate and payment, then add anything extra. It shows the new payoff date and the interest you skip. On a typical 72-month auto loan, $50 extra a month retires it about nine months early.
Debt consolidation List up to eight balances with their rates and payments. It compares your current total against one Summit personal loan from 8.99% APR and tells you plainly when consolidating would cost more over the life of the debt.
Refinance break-even Enter your current loan and the proposed terms with closing costs. It returns the month you break even, so you can decide whether staying put is the smarter move before anyone pulls your credit.

Nothing you type here is stored or sent to a lender

These tools run entirely in your browser. No figures are saved, nothing starts an application, and using them never touches your credit report. Bring the printout to any of our 42 branches and a loan officer will check your assumptions at no cost, whether or not you borrow.

What a calculator can and cannot tell you

These tools do arithmetic well. They do not know your credit file, your income, or whether the roof on that house is 22 years old. A payment estimate assumes on-time payments, no fees added mid-term, and a rate you may not ultimately qualify for. Treat the output as a planning number and let a person confirm it before you sign anything.

Three things make the answer far more useful. Gather the last statement for every loan and card, because the rate printed there is the one that matters, not the promotional rate from two years ago. Include the real purchase price with tax, title and dealer fees for a car, or closing costs for a house; leaving those out is the most common reason a result feels wrong later. Then work backward from a payment you can actually live with, and let the tool tell you what price or term that supports. When you are ready for a real number, Check Your Rate uses a soft credit inquiry, or read through Money Basics first.

Common questions

About these calculators

Will the payment I see here be my actual payment?

Close, if your credit and term match the defaults. Your final rate is set after we review a full application, so the payment can move either direction. Ask for a written quote and the number becomes binding for 30 days.

Does the mortgage calculator include taxes and insurance?

Yes, as estimates. It applies a typical local property tax rate and an average homeowners premium. Once you have a specific address we replace both with the real figures from the county assessor and your insurer.

Why does the consolidation tool sometimes tell me not to consolidate?

Because stretching a two-year balance across five years can raise total interest even at a lower rate. The tool compares lifetime cost, not just the monthly payment, and says so plainly when consolidating loses.

Do I need to be a member to use these?

No. The calculators are open to anyone. Joining takes a $5 share deposit and makes you an owner of the credit union, which is what gets you the member rates the tools load by default.

Can someone walk through my results with me?

Yes. Call 800.555.7846, book a time at a branch, or bring your figures to any of our 42 locations. There is no charge and no obligation to apply for anything.
