What you can do once you are in
The same features appear on the web and in the app, and everything syncs immediately.
Enrolling for the first time
New members can enrol the same day the account opens, and it takes about three minutes. Choose the enrolment link beneath the sign-in panel rather than trying to log in, and have your member number, Social Security number, and date of birth ready.
We then send a six-digit code to the phone number on your account. If that number is out of date, sort it out first by calling 800.555.7846 or stopping at a branch, because the code has nowhere else to go. Once the code clears, you choose a username and a passphrase of at least twelve characters that you do not use anywhere else, and switch on two-factor authentication on the same screen.
If you are locked out, five wrong passwords trigger a 30-minute lock that clears on its own; a representative can clear it sooner once you verify your identity. A lockout never affects your debit card, your direct deposit, or a scheduled payment. Anything that looks like unauthorised access should go straight to the security center or a phone call, not a reset attempt.
Where each task gets done, and by when
Cutoff times are Central and apply on business days only.
Availability, cutoff times, and features current as of July 2026 and subject to change. Deposit holds may apply under our funds availability policy. This is a demonstration website; rates, products, and figures shown are illustrative only.
Signing in and staying safe
Will Summit ever ask me for a one-time code?
Never. We will not call, text, or email asking for a verification code, your passphrase, or a full card number. If someone does, hang up and call back on the number printed on your card or 800.555.7846.
Do the app and the website use the same login?
Yes. Change your passphrase in one place and it changes everywhere, including automated phone banking. The only separate credential is the four-digit phone banking PIN, which is not your card PIN.
Can I use face or fingerprint unlock?
Yes, after your first successful sign-in on that device. The biometric stays on your phone and is never sent to us; it simply unlocks the credential already stored in the app's secure keychain.
Can I add a joint owner or give someone limited access?
Joint owners get their own separate login rather than sharing yours. For caregivers or a business bookkeeper, ask about view-only access, which shows balances and history without allowing transfers.
What should I do if I think someone got in?
Call us right away and we will lock digital access while we investigate, then reissue credentials. Do not attempt a password reset first, since that can send a code to a phone number an attacker has already changed.
Is there a fee for digital banking?
No. Online banking, the mobile app, mobile deposit, bill pay, alerts, and e-statements are free to every member. Outbound wire transfers and rush card delivery are the only related services that carry a charge.
Not a member yet?
A $5 share opens a membership, and digital banking is available the same day your account is approved.
